I am only 17 now and I will graduate from High School next year. Right now I am thinking about getting some CNA training this summer. I found a job at a retirement home and they happen to offer on the job training as a CNA. I can not say that it is a very pleasant job, in fact it is the opposite of that. However I really like helping the patients and they depend upon me to make their lives comfortable. So I am thinking that becoming a CNA might not be the worst thing ever. It is a very steady and reliable job after all. There is always going to be a need for CNA’s and I am thinking that maybe I could work as a CNA and learn how to become a real nurse at the same time perhaps. I am not so sure that I can actually become a CNA while I am still in High School, but since it is summer time I do not see why I should not take the training they offer and worry about the rest later.
